Dear ETPSA Members
 
As always, I'd like to say a big thank you to my committee colleagues and to the Mess at Boscombe for what I thought was a very successful Barbeque in September.  I think the new format, which saw us eating much earlier than in previous years, was much better and I think we'll stick to that next year.  If anyone would like to provide any suggestions of how the format might be further improved, please drop me a note (chairman@etpsa.org.uk).  You'll find a few photos from the BBQ in the gallery. 
 
Our next social event will be the New Year Party.  The date for this will be Saturday 6 Feb 2010.  The bar will open at 1900 and we'll sit down to eat at 2000.  There will be a short AGM (15 mins last year!) for anyone who wants to attend at 1930, but attendance at the meeting is far from compulsory - you're very welcome to stay in the bar if you prefer!  Sadly, I'll be away but our gallant treasurer has agreed to look after things in my absence.  Registration is now open. If you have access to the internet please log in to the Members’ Only section of the website (www.etpsa.org.uk) and click on ‘Register for Functions’.  
 
You might also want to note the date of the 2010 Summer Barbeque, which is agreed as Saturday 4 September 2010.
 
Now.      YOUR ASSOCIATION NEEDS YOU. We MUST change the committee around.  Most of us have been on the committee far too long and that's not good for our Association.  I need volunteers to stand for election to the committee in order to move the ETPSA forward. This is especially important in view of the fact that several current committee members are in the process of being posted to new jobs and may be overseas for much of the time, so this is getting urgent. Posts available:

This is not an onerous task, but is very rewarding. It is helpful if committee members have access to the internet and live close enough to Boscombe Down to be able to attend committee meetings. Please search your conscience and come forward, by email to me chairman@etpsa.org.uk
